The statutes build in escalating consequences: a corporate report filed after August 1 but by November 1 picks up a $20 penalty, a late LLC report adds $50, and an entity that simply stops filing - or lets its registered agent lapse - can be involuntarily dissolved or terminated by the Secretary of State under Sections 10-19.1-146 and 10-32.1-90.
